Posco, South Korea’s largest steelmaker, began construction of a plant in Turkey to boost sales to automakers including Ford Motor Co., Renault SA and Toyota Motor Corp. The Posco-Turkey Nilüfer Processing Center located in the Hasanağa industrial complex in Bursa will produce 170,000 metric tons of automotive steel a year from June 2010, Pohang, South Korea-based Posco said in an e-mailed statement Friday. The company didn’t disclose the size of the investment. The Korean mill has 41 steel-processing plants in 12 nations including Japan, China, India and Malaysia, the statement said
