Billet output increases by 25 pct at INSIG in the first 3 Iranian months

Iranian steelmaker Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) produced 306,609 mt of finished steel products (I-beam, rebar, pipe) and 73,017 mt of semi-finished products (billet) in the first three months (March 21-June 20) of the current Iranian year, up two percent and 25 percent respectively compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

INSIG, one of the country's oldest rolling mills, is based in the city of Ahwaz close to the Persian Gulf.
