Semi-finished output rises by 16 pct at Esfahan Steel in the first 3 Iranian months

Iranian steelmaker Esfahan Steel produced 596,000 mt of semi-finished steel (bloom) in the first three months (March 21-June 20) of the current Iranian year, 16 percent higher than the volume of 516,000 mt recorded in the same period of the previous Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Esfahan Steel also produced 687,000 mt of long steel products (mainly I-beam and rebar) in first three months of the current Iranian year, more or less stable on year-on-year basis, according to the same source.

Esfahan Steel had produced on average 170,000 mt of crude steel per month in the last Iranian year.
